DIY - a new necklace from an old one

Ich habe einst von meiner Schwägerin zu Weihnachten die hässlichste Kette die ich je gesehen habe, bekommen (wie gut, dass sie das nicht lesen kann!). Anfangs wollte ich sie sogar tragen aber mir viel einfach kein Outfit ein wo sie gut passen würde. Und so landete die Kette für viele Jahre in einem Karton. Letztens habe ich sie wieder entdeckt und bin auf eine Idee gekommen sie mal etwas zu modifizieren.

Dostałam kiedyś od mojej szwagierki najbrzydszy naszyjnik świata (ufff, jak dobrze, że tego nie czyta). Naprawdę chciałam go nosić, głowiłam się dość długo, by znaleźć choć jeden zestaw, w którym jako tako by się obronił ale poległam :-) Naszyjnik na długie lata zamieszkał w pudełku z biżuterią aż do niedawna. Podczas sprzątania znów go wyjęłam i wtedy wpadłam na pomysł by go przerobić.

Years ago I've become from my sister in low probably the ugliest necklace in the world. Firstly, I tried to figure out an outfit to wear it at least once, but I couldn't. The necklace landed in a box for a few years. Not so long ago I rediscovered it and got the idea to modify it a little bit.

Ich habe die Plastikelemente raus gezogen und sie mit ein Paar Schichten Nagellack bemalt. Die eine Hälfte mit gold und die andere schwarz. Um es etwas einfacher zu machen habe ich Zahnstocher hinein getan. Die letzte Schicht war ein transparenter Nagellack der alles gut versiegelt und etwas Glanz dem ganzen verleihen hat.

Rozcięłam sznurki i wyjęłam poszczególne koraliki. Postanowiłam je pomalować, połowę na złoto, drugą na czarno. Użyłam do tego kilku warstw lakieru do paznokci (tanio, szybko schnie i dość dobrze kryje). By ułatwić całą tą czynność przed malowaniem nasunęłam koraliki na wykałaczki. Na koniec wszystkie koraliki pociągnęłam nabłyszczającym transparentnym lakierem. Również do paznokci :-)

I took out the plastic elements and covered them with a few layers of nail polish. The half of them gold and the rest black. The last layer was a transparent nail polish to make it all glow a little bit and to protect the colour.

Danach habe ich mit Hilfe von Nietstiften und Ösen die Plastikelemente an einen Faden befestigt. Damit alles beim tragen nicht aufeinander fällt habe die Elemente mit Knoten getrennt. Um das alles noch mehr interessanter zu machen habe ich schwarze Perlen hinzugefügt. Das ganze habe ich ein Paar mal mit einem goldenen Draht mit aufgefädelten Glasperlen umdreht.

Ich weiß nicht wie ihr das sieht, aber mir gefällt diese Version von der Halskette besser :-)

Koraliki za pomocą drucików i kółeczek przymocowałam do czarnego sznurka. Pomiędzy powiązałam węzełki żeby podczas noszenia wszystkie na siebie się nie nasunęły. Dla urozmaicenia dodałam pomiędzy nie jeszcze czarne małe perełki. Później sznurek owinęłam kilka razy złotym drucikiem, na który nanizałam kilka małych złotych koralików.

Nie wiem jak wam, ale mnie taka wersja znacznie bardziej przypadła do gustu :-)

After that with some metal elements I attached them on a black thread and added some extra pearls. All this I wrapped with a golden wire with golden glass pearls threaded on it. I think that now it looks a way better :-)

5th blog anniversary

Diesen Monat wird mein Blog ganze 5 Jahre alt. Als ich mit dem schreiben begonnen habe, erwartete ich nicht, dass ich das ganze, Jahr für Jahr konsequent durchziehen werde. Und wie es aussieht habe ich regelmäßig gepostet, ohne irgendwelche Auszeiten (es sei den ich war im Urlaub). Es gab Momente in denen vieles Passierte, doch immer habe ich ein Paar Minuten gefunden was zu schreiben. Das alles macht mich sehr stolz und glücklich.

Ich weiß noch, dass am Anfang, wenn ich 5 Besucher hatte, ich mich sehr gefreut habe. Heutzutage sind es fast 1200 pro Tag. Ich kann es bis jetzt noch nicht glauben, wie sehr sich mein Blog ausgebreitet hat. Tag für Tag bekomme ich E-Mails von meinen Lesern, die mir diverse Fragen über meine verfassten Themen im Blog stellen oder nur etwas Lob schreiben möchten und danken, dass ich irgendwie inspirierend bin. Doch das, was mich am meisten rührt, sind Mails von Frauen, die mir danken, weil sie begriffen haben, dass man bei einer Übergröße doch schon aussehen kann und Dank mir mehr Mut haben. Das ist so toll und gibt einen Kick um nicht aufzuhören.

Durch diese 5 Jahre habe ich 678 Post verfasst, habe 15742 Kommentare veröffentlicht und meine Blog wurde über 750000 male Aufgerufen.

Natürlich hat alles auch ein Paar Macken: Unternehmen oder andere Blogger versuchen sich immer häufiger auf meinem Blog zu Popularisieren und nicht immer ist das auf eine freundliche Art, aber das dauert schon einige Zeit und meine Haut ist hart geworden :) Natürlich bekomme ich auch nette Einladungen (bin leider kein Party-Typ) oder Möglichkeiten für Kooperationen. Ich weiß, dass viele Unternehmen mir es übel nehmen, weil ich die Mehrheit ablehne, doch bitte ich um Verständnis. Ich möchte, dass mein Blog im größtem Teil unabhängig und nicht kommerziell ist. Deswegen gehe ich nur dann auf etwas ein, wenn es wirklich sehr, sehr, sehr interessant ist und ich es aus tiefsten Herzen empfehlen kann :) Der Blog ist so etwas wie eine Auszeit für mich und ich möchte nicht, dass er eine Art Arbeit wird, die ich nicht mag. Ich mache nur das, was mir einfach Spaß macht.

Das tolle an einem Mode Blog ist die Tatsache, dass man sehr viele Fotos von sich und seinen Outfits besitzt. Diese Fotos helfen mir sehr oft, wenn ich mal keine Idee für ein tolles Outfit habe oder wenn ich in Urlaub fahre. Wenn ich alles vor meinen Augen habe fällt es mir schneller diese Sachen auszuwählen mit denen ich die größte Anzahl verschiedener Outfits zusammenstellen kann. Damit das noch leichter für mich ist und für diejenigen, die auf einen Blick alle meine Zusammenstellungen sehen wollen habe ich einen Photoblog erstellt. Nicht immer habe ich die Möglichkeit alle meine Outfits auf dem Blog zu zeigen. Oft ist es so, dass sich rasch die Jahreszeit (mit dem Wetter) wechselt und es irgendwie unpassend wäre, wenn ich ein Outfit mit Stiefeln poste und draußen man Schon Sandalen trägt ;) Darum anstatt separate Post zu verfassen, füge ich die Outfits einfach im Photoblog zu. Meine ganz normalen, täglichen Outfits könnt ihr auf Instagram anschauen.

W tym miesiącu mój blog kończy pięć lat. Gdy zaczynałam pisać, nie sądziłam, że wytrwam w tym przez kolejne pięć lat i to pisząc dość regularnie, bez żadnych większych przerw (chyba, że jechałam na urlop). Różnie się działo u mnie w życiu, ale zawsze udało mi się wygospodarować kilka minut na małego posta :) To czyni mnie bardzo dumną :]

Na początku byłam szczęśliwa, gdy na danego posta weszło pięć osób, dziś dziennie liczba oglądających dochodzi do 1200. Dla wielu to może i mało, ale wg. mnie, jak na bloga Plus Size to całkiem sporo. Blog przez ostatnie parę miesięcy, czy może lat dość mocno się rozprzestrzenił i w niektórych krajach stał się nawet dość opiniotwórczy. Raz po raz dostaję maile od pań, które dziękują mi za pokazanie, że z większym rozmiarem można dobrze wyglądać. To bardzo wzruszające i zarazem motywujące do dalszego działania.

W ciągu tych pięciu lat napisałam 678 postów, opublikowałam 15742 komentarze, a blog był wyświetlany ponad 75 tysięcy razy.

Im bardziej mój blog staje się popularny tym bardziej firmy, czy inni blogerzy próbują na moich plecach się wybić, nie zawsze w miły sposób. Ale ponieważ działo to się dość często, udało mi się uodpornić :). Co rusz dostaję różne zaproszenia lub propozycje współpracy, mam jednak nadzieję, że wiele firm nie ma mi tego za złe, że odmawiam, ale nie chcę by ten blog był zbyt mocno skomercjalizowany, zależy mi na niezależności. Oczywiście od czasu do czasu zgadzam się na niektóre współprace, ale tylko wtedy, gdy firma mnie naprawdę do siebie przekona i z serca mogę daną rzecz polecić.

By wam i sobie ułatwić przeglądanie moich archiwalnych zestawów stworzyłam foto-blog. Jednym rzutem oka mogę obejrzeć sporo zestawów - to pomocne, gdy danego dnia nie mam weny, lub muszę się spakować. Ogarniając wiele zestawów mogę szybko wybrać ubrania, z których mogę później stworzyć wiele różnych kombinacji. Nie zawsze mam możliwość tworzenia postów z wszystkimi sfotografowanymi zestawami. Nie ma sensu pokazywać zaległego zimowego outfitu, przy którym mam na sobie kozaki, a cała Polska nosi już od tygodnia sandały :) Takie zaległe zdjęcia wrzucam właśnie do foto-bloga, poprzez co jest tam więcej zestawów niż na normalnym blogu.

This month my blog is having its 5th birthday. When I began with writing , I never thought it would last for five years. I was quite consequent with this writting, I didn't take breaks (except when I was traveling). There where moments when a lot happened in my life, but I always found a few minutes to post. All this makes me very proud and happy.

At the beginning I was very happy when my post had five visitors. Now every day I have about 1200 visits and I still can't believe it. It's still unbelievable how it did spread in the last past months or years. And I am very thankful for that. Every day I'm getting e-mails from my readers commenting the actual posts or just writing some nice thoughts. But what touches me the most, are woman thanking me for showing them, that with a plus size they still can look good. This is so great an is a trigger to continue writing this blog.

The more popular my blog became the more other blogger or companies tried to popularize on my shoulders. It wasn't always in the nice way, but because it happened a lot I've become tough :) Of course I've got a lot of nice cooperation offers and invitations for diverse events (I'm not a party type). I hope that a lot of companies don't take it in the wrong way, that I refused several collaborations but it was always very important to keep this blog away from commerce and influence. Of course there where a few collaborations but only when I found the companies very, very nice and I could recommend their products from my fullest heart. My blog is something like a time-out for me and I don't want to see it as a job. I'm doing only this, what makes fun. To make me and you it much easier to see all outfits I created a Photoblog. I don't always have the opportunity to show all my outfits on the blog. Because I don't want to waste the taken pictures I put them to the photoblog. So on the photoblog there are more outfits then on the blog.

Ich bin sehr gespannt, wie es wohl weiter mit meinem Blog geht, wie er sich weiterentwickeln wird. Vor einiger Zeit hatte ich die Idee, dass ich ihn auf einen Lifestyle blog umwandle aber irgendwie machten mir immer die Outfit Post am meisten Spaß. Ich glaube ich bleibe eher bei der Mode/Reisen Thematik. Und mir ist gerade eingefallen, dass ich noch viele Post von meinem Ausflug nach Gran Canaria verfassen wollte. Ich muss mich endlich an die Arbeit machen :)

Am Ende möchte ich euch herzlich Danken, dass Ihr dabei seit. Toll, dass es Euch gibt :)

Jestem bardzo ciekawa, co przyniesie przyszłość i w jakim kierunku mój blog będzie się rozwijał. Jakiś czas temu miałam pomysł na przemianę tego bloga w taki o tematyce lifestyle, ale za bardzo lubię tworzyć posty związane z ciuchami, czy podróżami. A mówiąc o podróżach, wciąż mam zaległych kilka postów z Gran Canarii. Muszę się wreszcie wziąć do roboty! :)

Na koniec chciałam Wam wszystkim podziękować za to, że tu zaglądacie. Fajnie, że jesteście :)))

I'm very curious how the future will be like for my blog, what will happen and how it will look like. I am always having new ideas. A few months ago I had the idea to change it in to a lifestyle blog. But then I realized that I like outfit and travelling post to much and didn't want to write about other things. That reminds me, that I own you some post about my trip do Gran Canaria. I must star working on it :)

Amsterdam in April

Am vorletzten Sonntag hatte mein Mann Geburtstag, diesbezüglich fuhren wir ans Meer und nach Amsterdam um diesen Tag etwas zu feiern. Eigentlich wollten wir dort ein Paar Tage bleiben, doch wegen des Wetters sind wir nur durchs Wochenende geblieben. Den ersten Tag und die Nach haben wir in Zadvoort verbracht.

Obwohl ich schon recht spät reserviert habe, ist es mir gelungen ein Zimmer mit Meerblick zu ergattern. Und nicht nur mit Meerblick, sondern auch mit einem Blick auf die Stadt, in der wir übernachteten. Das Zimmer hatte auf der Hälfte seiner Wände Fenster. Das Bett war so hoch und so platziert, dass ich im liegen das Meer beobachten konnte. Ich bin morgens speziell früher aufgestanden um im Bett zu gucken, wie die Nacht zum Tag über dem Meer wird. Ganz am Morgen sind wir noch etwas auf dem Strand spaziert, keine Menschenseele war zu finden. Es war wunderbar. Danach sind wir nach Amsterdam gefahren.

Was ich noch sagen wollte. Am Tag zuvor auf dem Weg zu einer anderen Stadt, haben wir Blumenplantagen gefunden. Und das massenhaft! Der Geruch war wundervoll und tausend mal intensiver als in jeglichem Blumenladen :)

W poprzednią niedzielę (nie wczorajszą) z okazji urodzin mojego męża pojechaliśmy na weekend nad morze i do Amsterdamu. Początkowo planowaliśmy zostać kilka dni dłużej, ale pogoda pokrzyżowała trochę nasze plany i wróciliśmy prędzej. Pierwszy dzień i noc spędziliśmy w nadmorskiej miejscowości Zandvoort.

Pomimo tego, że rezerwowałam niemal na ostatnią chwilę, udało mi się zdobyć pokój z widokiem na morze. Ba! nie tylko na morze ale i część miasteczka, gdyż połowa pokoju składała się z okien. Łóżko było na tyle wysokie i tak ustawione, że leżąc w nim mogłam oglądać morze. Rano wcześniej wstałam, by w wygodnej pozycji móc oglądać jak dzień wstaje nad morzem. Cudownie. Po wczesnym śniadaniu pospacerowaliśmy na bezludnej jeszcze plaży i ruszyliśmy w kierunku Amsterdamu.

Zapomniałabym dodać! Poprzedniego dnia zrobiliśmy sobie małą wycieczkę do innego, pobliskiego miasteczka. Na trasie trafiliśmy na plantacje kwiatów. Zapach był nie do opisania... sto razy mocniejszy niż w jakiejkolwiek kwiaciarni. Widoki cudowne, tych plantacji było dziesiątki! :)

Last Sunday my husband had his birthday and to Amsterdam to celebrate it a little, we went for a trip at the sea and. We planned to stay there longer, but because of the weather, we stayed only over the weekend. We spent the first day and night in a small seaside town named Zandvoort.

I booked a room quite late, so it was a miracle, that I could get one with sea view. Not only sea view, but with a view on a part of the city, because the half of the room where windows. The bed was such placed, that I could watch the sea lying in it. I specially woke up earlier to see how night turns into day over the sea. We went for a little walk to the beach early in the morning. It was wonderful, quietly (except of the waves) and we were the only persons there! After that we went to Amsterdam.

I almost forgotten! The day before while we were driving to another little town at the seaside, we found flower plantations. Many of them! It was so beautiful and the smell was better and more intense then at the biggest florist!

Unser Hotel war in einem Maritimen-Nostalgie Stil gehalten. Etwas minimalistisch und doch ganz schön und gemütlich. Das Bett war außergewöhnlich bequem!

Nasz hotel był utrzymany w morskim/nostaligcznym stylu. Podłoga i ściany były niby wyłożone starymi, zniszczonymi na brzegach deskami, meble były dość stylowe i minimalistyczne. Dzięki wystrojowi czułam się jak na statku. Przód i bok pokoju był cały z okien, dzięki czemu mieliśmy wspaniały widok. Rano, gdy się obudziłam z godzinę leżałam w łóżku i patrzyłam się na morze.

Our room was in a nostalgic-maritime style. It was a little bit minimalistic but very comfortable and nice. And the bed was incredibly comfortable!

Vor dem Sonnenuntergang haben wir einen kleinen Spaziergang durch Sandvoort gemacht.

Dieser Schal fährt überall mit mir mit. Ich habe ihn in Dublin gekauft und seitdem hat er wohl die halbe Welt gesehen :) Wenn ich weg fahre nehme ich immer wieder Kleidung in den selben Farbtönen mit und der Schal passt einfach dazu :)

Ten szalik zwiedził ze mną już pół świata (a kupiłam go w Irlandii)! Biorę go na każdą podróż ze sobą, ponieważ świetnie uzupełnia moje ubrania - które ciągle wybieram w tych samym kolorach, gdy gdzieś jadę.

I bought the scarf in Dublin and since that, it is a companion in all of my trips. I noticed, that I am packing always the same colours and the scarf just fits!

Weil das Hotel sehr nah am Strand lag sind wir am morgen dort spazieren gegangen. Es regnete leicht, doch dies war uns egal, der Strand gehörte nur uns!

Skoro nasz hotel był tak blisko plaży, aż żal było nie iść na nią z samego rana. Była lekka mżawka, ale cisza (prócz szumu fal) i bezludna plaża wszystko wynagrodziły :)

As our hotel was so close to the beach we decided to take a wolk early in the morning. It was raining a little bit, thanks what the beach belonged only to us!

Das warten bis es grün wird ist nicht mehr so langweilig, wenn man siehst wie viele Sekunden noch das rot dauert :) Clever :)

Den Schal habe ich den Tag zuvor in Noordwijk gekauft. Es ist ein schlichter Schal, nicht zu dick, in der perfekten Länge und in einem wunderschönem Rotton - deswegen war ich schon seit einem Jahr nach der Suche nach einem und erst hier habe ich ihn gefunden :)

Szalik, który mam na sobie kupiłam poprzedniego dnia w innej nadmorskiej miejscowości - Noordwijk. Niby prosty szalik, a od roku szukałam takiego idealnego, nie za grubego w pięknym odcieniu czerwieni :)
