How to wear stripes if you are a plus size

Ich habe mir seit gestern vieles überlegt. Das ganze hat mir sehr die Augen auf die deutsche Mentalität geöffnet. Ich muss zugeben, dass dort wo ich herkomme das ganze anders aussieht und Blogs ganz anders empfangen werden. Ich wohne hier nicht lange und vieles muss wohl noch gelernt werden.
Wenn sich jemand von mir angegriffen gefühlt hat, dann soll er wissen, dass dies nicht meine Absicht war. Ein weniger direktes Schreiben werde ich wohl noch lernen müssen, mir war nicht klar, dass dies was ich schreibe jeder immer sehr persönlich nimmt. Von heute an werde ich darauf Rücksicht nehmen.
Jeder macht Fehler und ich hoffe, dass die, die sich verletzt fühlen mir verzeihen. So viel kann ich nun sagen. Und jetzt kommt der Text mit den Streifen.

Liebe Damen, jede von uns sieht fabelhaft in Streifen aus. Es kann aber manchmal so vorkommen, dass die Streifen und größer machen. Was natürlich nicht heißt, dass wir es sein lassen sollten diese Streifen zu tragen. Es gibt da ein Paar simple Tricks sie besser erscheinen zu lassen. Wie z.B. eine Strickjacke oder Blazer darauf zu ziehen. Bei wärmeren Tagen ist ein langer Schal eine ziemlich gute Idee. Aber das alles nur wenn ich wollt.

Często się słyszy, że kobiety plus size nie powinny nosić pasków. Bluzki, czy topy mogą sprawiać, że sylwetka będzie wydawała się trochę szersza. Niekoniecznie trzeba przez to rezygnować z paskowanych ubrań. Myślę, że dobrym pomysłem na zaadoptowanie takich pasków jest włożenie na nie dodatkowej warstwy jak np. sweter, kurtka, czy marynarka. W cieplejsze dni nałożenie długiego szala może też "zniszczyć" efekt "poszerzania" :)

I think it should be finally said: a plus size woman will not always look good in horizontal stripes. It just doesn't look good on everybody (plus size) without a cardigan, jacket, blazer, vest or scarf. It just depends of your body shape and/or how you wear it.

They say, that there are clothes in that a plus size lady will never look good. Well, I don't agree with that opinion. I think that you can look in almost everything great but it just has to be worn a different way.

Here is an idea how to wear a stripped shirt without looking bigger than you are. Wearing something over it is the key. Because it was an cooler evening I could wear a cardigan. When it gets warmer I'm gonna replace this cardigan with a wither scarf that optically cuts the horizontal stripes and make the whole outfit look better :)

675: Saturday's simple shopping outfit

Dieses mal trage ich ein sehr simples Outfit, perfekt geeignet für Samstags Einkäufe oder einen Spaziergang durch die Stadt. Die Fotos entstanden im Zentrum von Bonn, wo ich Bummeln gehen wollte.

Das Kleid ist neu, ich habe es bei MS Mode im Sale für 5€ ergattert. Es ist sehr vielfältig. Man kann es, wie ich jetzt, als eine Tunika tragen, man kann es auch als Kleid, dass bis zu den Kniegen geht, tragen (das werde ich wohl noch machen) oder als Midi-Kleid - bis zu den Waden (diese Option werde ich mal ignorieren). Das einzige was mich an dem Kleid stört ist ein sehr hoher Ausschnitt, sehr ungeeignet für Frauen mit rundem Gesicht.

Kleiner Tipp: Bei geringen Ausschnitten mit einem Halstuch oder langer Halskette den Ausschnitt optisch tiefer machen.

Dzisiaj mam na sobie bardzo prosty zestaw, w sam raz na sobotnie zakupy, czy spacer po mieście. Zdjęcia były robione w samym centrum Bonn, do którego pojechałam pochodzić po sklepach.

Sukienkę mam pierwszy raz na sobie, jest taka trochę multi-funkcjonalna. Można nosić ją (jak ja na zdjęciach) jako tunikę, spuścić do kolan i mieć sukienkę lub całkowicie wyprostować i mieć ją do połowy łydki. Z trzeciej opcji raczej nie skorzystam, z drugiej już prędzej.

Mała rada: przy sukienkach o wyższych dekoltach (jak ta), osoby z krąglejszą twarzą (jak ja) powinny za pomocą chustki lub biżuterii stworzyć optyczne pogłębienie dekoltu (jak ja uczyniłam na tej sukience).

Wiele osób pisze, że muszę lubić moją torebkę, ponieważ często ją widać w moich zestawach. Tak, bardzo ją lubię, najbardziej z moich wszystkich czerwonych torebek. Nie jest ani za mała, ani za duża, ma piękny odcień czerwieni i jest sztywna, dzięki czemu nie zniekształca się, gdy ją przewieszę przez ramię.

I'm wearing a very simple outfit that is perfect for saturday shopping. The pictures were taken in the city centre of Bonn, where wanted to visit some shops.

The dress is new and I bought in on Sale in MS Mode for 5€. It can be worn in different ways: like here as a tunic, as a knee-length dress (will try this out) and as a midi-dress (this option I will just ignore). The only thing I don't like in this dress is the neckline. Because of my round face I wish it would be deeper.

Little tip: If your neckline isn't deep enough and you are an owner of a round face, make the neckline optically deeper with a scarf or long necklace.

674: My beige plus size trench coat once again

Ich wollte schon seit langem einen beigefarbenen Mantel haben und wenn ich schon so einen ergattert habe gibt es kein richtiges Wetter für ihn. Letzten Frühling hat es eine Ewigkeit gedauert bis es Sommer wurde, da würde der Mantel perfekt passen. Aber ein schöner Frühling ist mir mehr wert als das tragen irgendwelcher Klamotten :)

Alle Kleidungsstücke habe ich schon vorher gezeigt. Neu sind die Schuhe und die Kette, die ein Souvenir von Las Palmas auf Gran Canaria sind.

Ich habe mich schon wieder gewagt ein Hemd in die Hose zu stecken. Weil das Outfit mit den hellblau, beige und weiß ziemlich blass ausfällt habe ich mich für eine knallfarbige Tasche entschieden. Mit einer in der Farben der Schuhe oder des Mantels würde das alles fade aussehen lassen. Sehr fade, sogar.

Ich habe gehört, dass nächste Woche Sommer auf uns zukommt. Mal sehen ob das wahr ist :)

To zabawne, że zawsze chciałam mieć beżowy płaszcz, gdy w końcu udało mi się go zdobyć nie miałam zbyt wielu okazji do jego noszenia. W zeszłoroczną wiosnę, która wieki przekształcała się w lato byłby jak znalazł. Mimo to bardziej się cieszę z przyjemnej wiosny, niż faktu, że nie mogę nosić jakiegoś ciucha :)

Ubrania wszystkie już pokazywałam w innych zestawach. Po raz pierwszy mam na sobie buty i naszyjnik, który jest moją pamiątką z Las Palmas na Gran Canarii.

Po raz kolejny odważyłam się włożyć koszulę do dość opiętych spodni. Ponieważ zestaw wyszedł dość blady i monotonny (beż, jasny błękit połączony z bielą) postanowiłam całość ożywić poprzez dodanie pomarańczowo różowej torebki. Gdybym wybrała taką w kolorze butów i płaszcza wyszłoby mdło. Bardzo mdło.

Słyszałam, że w przyszłym tygodniu ma zawitać lato. Ciekawe, czy się sprawdzi :)

I was looking for a beige trench coat for a long time. And when I found one, the weather didn't gave me much opportunities to wear it. Last year's spring would be perfect for that coat, it lasted ages until summer has come. But I prefer a nice spring instead of wearing clothes :)

All of my clothes have been already shown here. The shoes and the necklace, which is a souvenir from Las Palmas od Gran Canaria, are new.

And again I deared to wear a shirt put into pants. Because the whole outfit is kept in pale colours I decided to wear a pink-orange bag. With a bag in the colour of the shoes or coat it would look to bland.

They say, that next week summer will come. I'm curious if that will be true.

Später ist es deutlich wärmer geworden also habe ich mein Outfit in ein mehr sommerliches verwandelt :)

Później zrobiło się dużo cieplej, więc przemieniłam mój zestaw na bardziej letni :)

673: Plus Size leo with a trench coat

Wenn man die Größe 52 trägt ist es nicht leicht in so einem kurzen und auffallenden Kleid sich nach Draußen zu wagen. Als ich es gekauft habe, dachte ich, dass ich es eher, wie eine Tunika, mit Gürtel und knielangen Leggings tragen werde. Doch dann kam ein Sonntag, an dem ich mit meinem Mann nach Köln fahren wollte. Es war einer dieser März-Sonntage, wo es nach dem kalten Winter endlich so herrlich warm wird und ich wollte mir etwas leichteres anziehen. Und so, ohne großes Nachdenken hab ich zu dem Kleid nur eine dünne Strumpfhose angezogen. Damit es unnötig kürzer wird, habe ich den Gürtel ausgelassen, ich hatte keine Absicht den Mantel auszuziehen. Und wenn schon, dann würde ja nichts schlimmes passieren. Das Kleid sieht einfach nur besser aus mit Gürtel.

Ich habe mich wohl gefühlt, natürlich habe ich den einen oder anderen Blick gefangen, doch das waren eher Blicke weil ich was buntes an hatte und nicht, dass dicke Frau jetzt keinen Sack trägt :)

Vieles ist reine Kopfsache. Alles ist in unseren Kopf - jede Angst und jeder Zweifel. Was die anderen sich denken, werden wir wahrscheinlich sowie so nicht erfahren und um ehrlich zu sein, sind wir dem ganzen Rest auf der Straße ganz egal. Vielleicht widmet uns jemand einen Gedanken, aber der wird wohl nicht länger als 5 Sekunden dauern. Und für solche Gedanken hat es keinen Sinn immer zurückhaltend angezogen sein. Hauptsache man sieht darin schön aus.

Gdy nosi się rozmiar 52, noszenie krótkiej, przyciągającej wzrok sukienki nie jest łatwe. W zasadzie sukienkę tą kupiłam, by nosić ją bardziej jak tunikę - z paskiem i getrami do kolan. Ale przyszła taka niedziela, w którą chcieliśmy z mężem pojechać na spacer do Kolonii. Wiecie, taka marcowa niedziela, gdzie pod długiej zimie wreszcie zrobiło się o wiele cieplej i bardzo chciałoby się założyć coś lżejszego. Bez większego zastanawiania wyjęłam z szafy tą sukienkę i włożyłam do niej tylko ciemno-transparente rajstopy. By niepotrzebnie dodatkowo jej nie skracać odpuściłam sobie pasek. Niby wygląda z nim o niebo lepiej (wcięcie w talii i te sprawy) to przy włożonym płaszczu nie było praktycznie różnicy.

I czułam się naprawdę dobrze. Oczywiście przyciągałam to i owo spojrzenie, ale to bardziej kolor, czy faktura sukienki. Nikt raczej nie miał zszokowanej miny ;)

Wszystko jest w naszej głowie - nasze lęki i wątpliwości. Tak naprawdę nigdy się nie dowiemy, co o nas myśli każdy przechodzeń. A nawet jeśli coś pomyśli to może potrwa to 5 sekund, a później coś innego zwróci jego uwagę. Warto dla takich pięciu sekund ubierać się bezpiecznie? Chyba nie. Ważne, by wyglądać pięknie.

When you are wearing size 52 (UK24) it isn't always easy to get out in a short, strikingly dress. When I bought it, I thought I will wear it more like a tunic - with a belt and leggings. But then there were this Sunday, when me and my husband made a trip to Cologne. You know, one of these march Sundays, when after a long winter the weather finally gets better and you want dress more light. Without a lot if thinking I took out this dress and combined it with transparent/dark tights. To avoid an unnecessary shortening of the dress, I skipped the belt. It looks much better with one, but with a coat over it, it looked as same good.

I felt really good in it. Sure, I caught some attention, but more because of the print and colour of the dress, nothing like "big lady wearing a short dress".

Everything is in our head - every fear and every doubt. We will never find out, what the others really think about us. And seriously? Every paserby really don't care about our clothing, and even if... this thoughts may last for about 5 seconds, then he will pay attention to something else. Is it really worth to dress more restrained for these 5 seconds? I don't thinks so. What matters is to look beautiful.
